GIVING music reviews

the in-studio session at gigantic studios in ny was pretty cool last week; we were there for a few performances that aired live on kexp. our favorite band was the essex green out of brooklyn. they sound similar to belle + sebastian (which is one of my all time favs).

another band we liked was dr. dog. others review them as sounding beatle-esque. looks like they will be touring georgia in june:

GIVING at the new apple store

we're blogging here in the new apple store on fifth avenue; we came to see what a bazillion people were waiting in line to see yesterday. they were giving away a free macbook every hour for 24 hours after their grand opening. ny is definitely a mac loyal city.

GIVING’s first project!

we are so proud of our first project being such a success! we spent the past weekend building a wheelchair ramp for mr and mrs suttles in asheville, north carolina. they've been married for over 50 years and they are the sweetest couple, still very much in love. mrs suttles has been in a wheelchair for the past few years, and whenever she needed to go somewhere, mr suttles would lovingly help her out of her chair, and support her while she struggled to take the steps down to the walkway. now with their new ramp, she and her husband are able to go outside and enjoy the fresh air will a little more ease.

we couldn't have done it without the help of several brilliant friends who worked hard to engineer and build such a beautiful ramp. thank you, matt + nichols + steve + sheila + sabrina + jordan + lawson!
