GIVING interviews

if you are in augusta ga, tune in to channel 26 wednesday july 5th at 6pm to catch GIVING's first tv coverage! shannon myers with WAGT (the local nbc affiliate) interviewed linda wednesday for a "woman of the week" segment. linda was interviewed at SWANK (one of our first retail locations) for a piece to air july 5th at 6pm. we also put the video of our first project on our home page.

GIVING inspiration

as i think about the concept of GIVING and why it means so much to me, i am reminded of my dad. my dad worked hard for every penny. he, as much as anyone i've ever known, recognizes the real value of a dollar. growing up, he was so frugal at times it embarrassed me. but i know one thing. if he knows of a need, especially within the family, there is no end to what he will do or spend to help. i could tell you stories... but i'll spare you for now. suffices to say, the man is a saint and an inspiration in my eyes. my mom is great too, but that is for another day.

GIVING notes

what a great trip to san francisco! we are back from the aaf conference. congratulations to mccann-erickson/72 and sunny for winning "best of show" at the national addy awards for thier "jump rope" ad for microsoft xbox 360. we learned a few good tips for our local advertising federation. we also learned that the best gelato is on embarcadero, and farley's on potrero hill is the best community coffee house. being a student of community, i stopped in farley's every morning. finally, we delivered business cards and samples to sevilla granger, our west coast representative.

hello from memphis! brent + tasha + i are actually just waiting for our next plane to take us to san francisco. we're sipping on some good coffee and updating our blog.

GIVING back to san francisco

friday we will be heading out to the American Advertising Federation's (AAF) ADDY Awards and Conference. this year the conference will be in san francisco, home of our west coast office on potrero hill, and also home to girly whirly, another fun line of cards we saw at the national stationery show...
